We carry out various formal consultations on which we invite the views of the legal sector, consumers and many others on topics ranging from proposed changes in regulations to policy developments.
We have compiled a list of proposed consultations to give stakeholders advance notification of the consultations we expect to publish in the future. The proposed list is subject to change, however, and we may withdraw some proposed consultations completely. The fact that a proposed consultation appears on the list should not be taken as an indication that the consultation will actually proceed or that the scope of the consultation will be exactly as described.
Consumer empowerment – 12 weeks – 15 September – 8 December 2021
Business plan 2022/23 – 8 weeks – 6 December 2021 – 4 February 2022
Ongoing competence – 12 weeks – 1 December 2021 – 25 February 2022
Regulatory Performance framework review – 12 weeks – 7 March 2022 – 27 May 2022
There are two other policy areas where we may also seek to consult on during 2021/22. These are:
- Developing a single digital register across all regulatory bodies
- Developing our expectations around EDI
As always, we will seek to provide other opportunities outside of the formal consultation for ongoing engagement and collaboration on all of our workstreams.
