Work for us

The Legal Services Board is an organisation where professional standards are high, decisions are taken on the basis of evidence and interventions are proportionate. All colleagues understand their role and how it fits into the LSB as a whole.

We have around 30 staff, from a wide variety of backgrounds – public, private, regulatory. Most work on a number of policy and management projects at the same time. In recruiting, we look for skills and experience matched by an appetite for change and improving standards.

We are committed to equal opportunity. Everyone who is eligible regardless of race, sex, sexual orientation, gender reassignment, religion or belief, marital or civil partnership status, age, disability, or pregnancy and maternity, will receive equal treatment when applying for jobs with us.

LSB Board member recruitment: Non-lay vacancy and webinar on 17 August 2021

The Ministry of Justice is now recruiting a new non-lay Board member of the Legal Services Board (LSB) – further details are available on the Public Appointments website.

The LSB is focused on improving the diversity of the legal services profession. We understand the importance of diverse and inclusive leadership in achieving our strategic aims. Applicants from the widest range of backgrounds are therefore sought for this role.

We are hosting a webinar on 17 August 2021 for potential candidates to hear more about the work we do and what is sought for this non-executive role.

The event will cover the role of the LSB and the recruitment process. You’ll hear about the requirements for applications, advice for CVs and practical information on the process. There will also be an opportunity to ask questions.

We expect there to be vacancies at the LSB and in the organisations we have responsibility for (the Office for Legal Complaints and the Legal Services Consumer Panel) within the next 1-2 years. We welcome attendees who may be interested in future opportunities to join the webinar.
