LSB submits evidence on the Economic Crime Bill

The Legal Services Board has submitted evidence (PDF) to the House of Commons Public Bill Committee on the Economic Crime and Corporate Transparency Bill.

Our interest is primarily in section 155 of the Bill, which would add a new regulatory objective to the Legal Services Act.

We support introducing this new regulatory objective, which would underline the importance of the LSB and other legal services regulators using their powers to prevent the involvement of regulated legal services providers in economic crime.
