We are conducting an independent review of regulatory events leading up to the Solicitors Regulation Authority’s (SRA) intervention into Axiom Ince. We had planned to publish the report shortly.
As a public body, the Legal Services Board is required to adhere to General Election guidance. The guidance states that during the pre-election period, ‘Departmental and NDPB [Non-Departmental Public Bodies] activity should not be seen to compete with the election campaign for public attention. The principles and conventions set out in this guidance also apply to public bodies.’
As such, we now expect to publish the report after the General Election on 4 July 2024.
The delay in publishing our findings will not prevent us from pursuing any required action or matters arising from our review in the public interest.
