We’re excited to be part of the Board Apprentice programme in 2025 for the second time.
Boardroom Apprentice is a board learning, development and placement programme. It enables those who want to serve on a public or third-sector board to learn and gain experience in preparation for that step. This is a unique opportunity for the LSB to help shape the next generation of non-executive board members.
Our new Board Apprentice is Liz Marshall. She will join our Board in January 2025.
Liz has had a successful and varied career focussed on improving access to services in the charity and public sectors. She has more than eight years of experience delivering front-line advice services to vulnerable and marginalised groups to improve access to education, employment, legal advice, and medical treatment.
Sharing her enthusiasm for the Board Apprentice programme, Liz said:
‘My first experience of being in a boardroom was presenting to Trustees and project workers in a small local charity. I’ve been in many boardrooms since but never seen anyone like me. I hope that my time with Boardroom Apprentice UK and the LSB will give me the skills and experience to change that and that other aspiring board members will follow.’
