We’re seeking three new lay Board Members and one non-lay Board Member to help oversee the regulation of legal services in England and Wales. This is an exciting opportunity to influence a sector undergoing significant transformation, driven by AI, changing consumer expectations and evolving business models.
As the independent oversight regulator, the LSB plays a critical role in protecting consumers, promoting the public interest and ensuring effective regulation across the legal services sector.
We are particularly keen to hear from individuals who can bring experience in areas such as:
– Consumer affairs and consumer protection
– Digital technology, data and AI
– Commercial affairs and economic growth
– Regulation, governance, risk, audit or transformation
– Equality, diversity and inclusion leadership
Successful candidates will assist the Board in providing strategic direction, constructive challenge and assurance while helping to shape the future of legal services regulation.

- Location – England & Wales (not Scotland)
- Remuneration – £15,000 per annum
- Time commitment – 30 days per year
- Tenure – Four years
